Testing Equipment for Quality Management
A.M. Erichsen's invented cupping test machine in 1913. It was the first special test method for assessing the quality of sheet metal. Today it is the test method recommended by the International Standards Organization (ISO) and as such is used by all industrial countries. The ERICHSEN Cupping Test is the technique used worldwide to measure sheet metal quality, just as temperature is measured in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Up to now, Erichsen has developed instruments with the main emphasis on testing the finished product and it is recognized by the customers as competent partners in the sheet metal, plastics, lacquers and paints production industry. The instruments cover four main sectors recognized as sheet metal, coating, corrosion and material testings.
